Unplugging from the World

Turning over a new leaf today
Unplugging myself from all the fray
Cutting ties with the trite tirade
Giving up on the grand charade

Tired of  the unraveled and wasted years
Smile cross my face hiding the bitter tears
Squandered time the  end may be drawing near
With nothing to show for my time spent here

So now it's time  for me to turn off the surreal
And set the world ablaze with something that's real
Open up my heart for my Savior to fill
And let Him have His way with me and do His will.

Nicely expressed. I DO think with time we all have to give up charades and concentrate on what is real and what is important in life!

unplugging to have time for the real important things in life... and def. a source to re-load our batteries again as well

Good luck with your resolution, I hope it works for you. As for myself and my lack of willpower: I find myself making these promises far too regularly, I have to admit.

A resolution to do something real is probably the all the best. I think a resolution is good, as long as it does not turn into a new routine...

ah... how many times do we tell ourselves we need just that... harder now with all the electronic devices... through media we can spread the Word... a puzzle... felt the struggle in your lines
