New Day for Egypt

With the president of Egypt stepping down, it appears that politically a new day has dawned for the Egyptian people. Nevertheless, the looming question is what kind of leadership will fill the vacuum left by the former president. Will the Egyptian people who have so vehemently demanded the oust of their leader demand democracy and freedom or will they settle for something less. The world is anxiously watching to see the route the Egyptian people will choose, particularly the United States and Israel.

It appears that one of the concerns is that the Muslim Brotherhood may gain control of power. There are fears that the Brotherhood could foster a radical agenda that will not bode well for Israel, the United States or for the rest of the world for that matter. The chance that the Muslim Brotherhood may gain power poses a question that only time will tell the answer, do the people of Egypt who have filled the streets and the TV screens around the world demanding change for their country want to embrace a political group that could possibly put Egypt under the oppression of radical Islam.
