Autumn Fading

The last vestiges of summer are silently slipping away

And the bright, colorful promises of spring have turned a shade of gray

And I sit just here with poor heart aching, thinking of my former days

While the bittersweet feelings of autumn merge into my fleeting life's parade

Leafs will soon burst forth in a melody of brilliant hues

Awesome, seductive colors pitched against a sky fall blue

This is nature's last colorful painting before winter's recluse

Which reminds of the season of life that is waiting and the paying of what's due.

Sometimes autumn does cause us to sit and reminisce about former days for sure. I agree that this is nature's last colorful painting for this year....but it is also nice knowing it will repeat another time.

My favorite line is, "This is nature's last colorful painting before winter's recluse" - It's certainly my favorite season.

"Paying of what's due." ?
What, I didn't do anything wrong! :-)

Fun rhyme and analogy. Thank you

PS -- could you turn off the verification. It takes too much time because it is hard to read.
