Apple and China

Just seen it on Fox News tonight, Tim Cook, Apple CEO, when asked about China human right abuses, refused to comment. When he was asked about Air Drop being disabled on iPhones in China, he also refused to comment. This was a big deal if you are a dissenter in China, according to news sources, the Chinese Government surveils their citizens which makes it hard for dissenters to communicate without the government listening in. However, with the Air Drop feature on the iPhone, individuals can communicate peer to peer without the Chinese official listening in. By disabling the Air Drop feature for iPhones in China, it made so protestors could not communicate without being listened to. My question to Tim Cook is this, Did Apple do this on purpose and why would Apple want to work with a Communist regime against their citizens? Two valid questions Cook should answer, two questions the media needs to be asking.

Blue Ridge State of Mind

What is Blue Ridge, is it a quaint little town in North Georgia? Is it a tourist trap? Another vacation getaway or a place to escape to from the big city? Or maybe just a place for the money makers to make a dollar or two. Well it is more than that to me, it is my hometown that has been invaded by the masses, people trying to find something to fill their empty souls. Will they find that magic something here that will satisfy their souls or will they find outstretched hands of locals trying to capitalize on their wondering hearts. For you that will venture to visit this wonderful place called Blue Ridge, Ga, know this, Blue Ridge now is a far cry from the place I remember growing up in. It was a place that you looked forward to going on Saturday morning, sometimes it was a haircut from the well known local barber shop, maybe a  visit with the local bank or a special trip to Western Auto for guns, ammo, including bb for my Daisy BB rifle or new arrows for my recurve bow I got for Christmas. Anyways it was a treat to go to downtown  not just on Saturday morning but through the week as well. I fear those days will never return but i still remember a small town that was alive with people, real people who were just trying to make a living who came to town because they needed the elemental necessities of life, People who went to downtown Blue Ridge because they needed something, a product or a service not those busybodies who wonder aimlessly along overfilling their bellies amd dart in and out of shops that sell nothing I need in particular who hold very little appeal to me. So come on to Blue Ridge, you may enjoy your stay but you wil never know her like i knew her,we go back a long way.

Places to Eat in Blairsville, Ga Downtown Pizza Factory

Blairsville, Ga, sister town of Blue Ridge, Ga has a nice little pizza buffet. We had a birthday party there yesterday evening for my grandson. The service, food and price were good. First off, the price; at $10 dollars a head for all you can eat (drink not included), it is an awesome bargain. The salad bar was fresh with a very good variety of toppings to top your salad, (you can make a meal out of your salad). They have a decent selection of pizza including desert pizza. The only negative is that the pizza is not high quality such as Pizza Hut in Blue Ridge, Ga which I hope to visit soon and write a review. But for all you can eat, Downtown Pizza Factory in Blairsville, Ga is hard to beat.

Best Meatloaf in Blue Ridge Restaurants in Blue Ridge, Ga

As far as good tasting Meatloaf goes, Southern Charm in downtown Blue Ridge, Ga has some of the best you can get in Blue Ridge. Not to pricey at $12.59 when compared to other downtown restaurants and a ample amount of some awesome tasting southern cuisine, Southern Charm’s homemade Meatloaf is a winner in my book. If you are looking for a good place to eat in Blue Ridge, I highly recommend Southern Charm, a nice down home restaurant that has a whole array of some of the finest southern cooking in town. Not only good food but a friendly welcoming atmosphere that focuses not only on good tasting food but fast, friendly stellar service.
